Connecting ERP / CRM Sales Data
The best way to successfully address a sales analytics challenge begins by building an integrated database: customer sales data, customer master files, sales force leads, activities and judgements, financial information and, if possible, relevant third-party data. Furthermore, if you are in a classic Business-to-Business (B2B) segment, remember that most of your future sales will come from your present customers.
The professional version of Qymatix can connect to several of the databases mentioned above. If you have your data on a system not listed in our service, drop us a line, and we will have a look at it. We can also assist you with our implementation service.
Qymatix offers you three flexible ways to implement your sales analytics solution. You don’t need to be an IT expert, and you don’t need to worry about an expensive project. Here you have more information about implementation of sales analytics.
If you want to perform this data connection yourself, you have three options, listed below.
1 – Uploading sales data using Excel templates
If you can handle sales data yourself, the quickest way to connect it to Qymatix is using our standard sales templates.
In the CRM version, you can upload sales data based on four templates: Accounts, Contacts, Sales Plans and Sales Activities. In the Professional and Advanced versions, you can also upload Sales Transactions.
The manual upload options are not intended for migrations of big amounts of data. If you need assistance migrating or uploading thousands of records from an older CRM system or database, contact us first.
Please only upload less than 5 MB of sales data in the templates provided and in CSV format. Do not change the name of the headers in the templates and watch for fixed options, for example in the type of customer or industry.
Once your sales data is in the given format, just select them and drop them in the designated area. You will get a message after the upload process is complete.
If you are to upload contacts, actions or sales plans corresponding to existing accounts or customers, make sure you add the right customer’s ID in the field provided. If you do not have the customers IDs, you can download first your existing accounts.
Remember that with just one click, you can anytime also export your contacts, sales plans and sales actions in CSV format.
If our software connects to your ERP or you are uploading sales transactions make sure you provide enough records. You will need to provide at least a hundred sales transactions to perform a significant sales analysis. Providing the price and the margin of each operation significantly improves the analysis. Upload them.
Make sure to save numbers as ‘numbers’ and all with the same format and currency. Check for invisible or special characters. If you find any problem, contact us.
2 – Connecting sales data using webMethods (Professional and Advanced Version)
To connect your sales data using webMethods Integration Cloud from Software AG, you need to log into webMethods and then add a new integration. Technical knowledge might be needed.
3 – Connecting sales data from other ERP / CRM systems (Professional and Advanced Version)
You can connect other ERP systems using the Qymatix Application Programming Interface (API).
To access our API, you first need to register with Qymatix, and then go to API.
