About the Association of Technical Trade (VTH)

The VTH (Verband Technischer Handel e.V.) was founded more than 100 years ago (1904) as a voluntary protective association.

Today, the VTH is the only trade association for the technical trade sector and professional association for technical distributors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The members of the VTH are around 230 wholesalers for industrial and technical requirements (technical distributors) with all associated services as well as processing and finishing. This means a total of around 400 sales outlets throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland and neighbouring countries and a total turnover of over 4.5 billion euros.
